Salary: £49,387 – £56,515 per annum, pro rata

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic MHST Team Manager to lead the Mental Health Support Teams for Education settings. This senior role offers the chance to manage, supervise, and inspire a skilled team making a real impact on young lives. The national ambition is for MHSTs to be available in all education settings by the end of 2029.

Main Duties:
• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health support to children and young people
• Oversee clinical assessments, risk management, and care planning
• Ensure robust record-keeping and data quality
• Manage caseloads, support coordination of referrals, and facilitate regular team meetings
• Provide clinical and line management supervision
• Drive staff development, recruitment, and performance
• Work in partnership with schools, local authorities, and community stakeholders
• Contribute to service improvement, audits, and outcome monitoring
• Support national and local priorities aligned with Trust objectives
• Champion safeguarding and equality
• Promote continuous professional development

Working Pattern: Hybrid model. Team works within education settings 4 days per week, with 1 flexible working day (may include working from home). Regular travel across the locality required.

Essential Criteria:
• Registered core profession (social work, nursing) OR Child and Young Person Wellbeing Practitioner OR Educational Mental Health Practitioner registered with BABCP/BPS
• Substantial post-qualification experience within CAMHS, MHST, or adult mental health services
• Experience in clinical and line management supervision and annual appraisal
• Highly developed knowledge of mental health issues in children and young people
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and National Policies
• Knowledge of NICE guidance in treatment of mental health problems for children and young people
• Evidence of ability to lead, motivate and manage a group
• Ability to manage risk in individuals presenting with mental health needs
