Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday)
Salary: £32,073 – £39,043 per annum

Two permanent, full-time opportunities for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners to join the team working across the Oldham Primary Care Networks and the Oldham Neighborhood Mental Health Team. This role helps bridge the gap between primary care and specialist mental health services.

Main Duties:
• Provide early assessment, brief psychological interventions, and support individuals to access appropriate community and mental health services
• Help people identify achievable goals, promote self-management, and connect patients with relevant resources
• Provide short-term psychological interventions, including group programs, under the direction of the principal clinical psychologist
• Deliver wellbeing-focused psychologically informed interventions aligned to cognitive-behavioural principles
• Work under clinical supervision from an HCPC registered clinical psychologist or BABCP accredited CBT therapist
• Interventions include: behavioural activation and graded exposure, teaching problem-solving skills, improving sleep, recognising and managing emotions, guided self-help for anxiety, disordered eating, low mood, building confidence

Essential Criteria:
• Successful completion of the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health)
• BABCP and/or BPS registered/registerable or working towards registration
• Experience of working with people with mental health needs gained through graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training with significant supervised practice
• Experience running groups/activities
• Able to establish and maintain empathic, supportive relationships with people in significant distress
• Use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint
