The psychologist will provide mental health and psychosocial support services, individual and group counselling and psychotherapy.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Provide evidence-based psychological services for clients and their families with mental health conditions and psychosocial issues
• Engage with clinical and supportive supervision
• Work as part of a mental health case management team along with other service providers
• Support the delivery of trainings for staff on topics relevant to psychological practice and case management
• Develop care plans that are individualized and mutually developed with the client
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct risk assessments and advise staff on carrying out risk assessments and the development of safety plans
• Remain up to date on evidence-based psychological interventions and advances in the field of psychology
• Promote Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) through community-based activities
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's degree in psychology and/or holding a license to practice psychology is essential
• Experience with an NGO (preferred)
• 3+ years experience in mental health preferred
• Master at least one psychotherapy technique
• Knowledge in protection, especially as it relates to people with mental health and psychosocial concerns (preferred)
• Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Arabic and English language ability is essential
• Languages: English, Urdu, Pushto, Sindi
• Experience working with a non-governmental organization and/or with refugees (preferred)
