The Counseling Outreach Officer reports to the Director of the Student Counseling Center (SCC) and works closely with administrative staff and Counselors. The incumbent liaises with key offices within the university community to plan and coordinate outreach activities related to student physical, emotional and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with targeted members and offices within the university community
• Coordinate SCC representation at University events such as New Student Orientation, Faculty orientation, Cultural programs, Conferences
• Plan and execute major university events such as World Health Day, World Mental Health Day
• Liaise with faculty and student community to increase awareness and use of Center services
• Design, organize and implement outreach activities and programs
• Conduct meetings and presentations with targeted student populations
• Develop and conduct psycho-educational programs, flyers, brochures, newsletters, website and social media content
• Maintain budget and financial reports on outreach expenditure
• Manage and supervise Student workers
• Responsible for all Health Accommodation cases for students needing accommodations/accessibility arrangements
• Work with Health Clinic doctors regarding appropriate accommodations
• Liaise with Professors and Colleges regarding Health accommodation arrangements

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Counseling Psychology and Human Services/Social Work or related fields from an accredited institution
• 2 years experience working in related helping professions, preferably in an educational institution
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• Solid understanding of the culture of UAE Society
• Must be bilingual in Arabic and English
• Experience with Microsoft Office
