Reporting to the Area Superintendent, the School Psychologist works collaboratively with the Student Services and Wellness support team, school principal, staff, parents/guardians, clinicians and outside agencies. Supports Nursery to Grade 12 students including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, consultation and recommendations.

Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in School Psychology
• Valid Manitoba School Psychologist Certificate (or eligibility for)
• Successful completion of formal training in psycho-educational assessments
• Strong clinical skills in child and adolescent development, cognitive processes, mental health, learning and behaviour disorders
• Experience working with students with a broad range of exceptional needs
• Commitment to working with Indigenous and First Nation communities using culturally affirming practices
• Training in Threat Assessment (VTRA), ASIST, Trauma-Informed Practices, and Cultural Safety is an asset
• Valid Manitoba Driver's license

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct and interpret psychoeducational assessments related to learning, social-emotional and/or behavioural challenges
• Work collaboratively with school support teams and parents/guardians
• Participate in School Support Team meetings
• Prepare and submit written reports
• Liaise with outside agencies
• Provide professional learning for school staff and parents
• Support school communities related to threat assessment, crisis response and trauma-informed care
