REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD in relevant subject area
- At least two peer-reviewed original scientific publications as first or last author
- PhD awarded no more than 7 years before application deadline
- Research in neuroscience broadly defined: molecular, cellular, genetic, circuit, systems, computational, or cognitive neuroscience
- Animal models or human research welcome
- Innovative experimental, computational, or technological approaches encouraged

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and lead independent research programme in neuroscience
- Recruit and mentor doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers
- Apply for external research funding from national and international sources
- Publish high-quality work in leading journals
- Engage in collaboration within department and internationally
- Contribute to doctoral and postdoctoral supervision
- Participate in educational activities (limited teaching obligations)
- Complete 3 weeks of higher education pedagogical courses within 2 years
