REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD in Clinical Psychology completed prior to start date
- Demonstrated interest in psychoneuroimmunology and/or behavioral medicine
- Strong background in study design and quantitative research methods
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary environment
PREFERRED:
- Experience with advanced statistical modeling (HLM, R, SPSS, SAS)
- Experience with ecological momentary assessment
- Experience with laboratory stress research (Trier Social Stress Task)
- Familiarity with psychoneuroimmunology methods
- Experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions (CBT, ACT)
- Clinical experience with chronic disease populations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct collaborative research with PI and lab members
- Identify and generate new research ideas
- Conduct literature reviews
- Develop novel hypotheses and conceptual frameworks
- Develop research protocols
- Collect data and conduct statistical analyses
- Prepare manuscripts for publication
- Assist PI in preparing grant proposals
- Assist in mentoring graduate students
- Participate in lab meetings and seminars
ABOUT THE LAB:
Led by Dr. Annelise Madison. Investigates dynamic interactions between psychological processes, immune system, and physical health. Combines experimental psychoneuroimmunology with clinical science. Two research lines: chronic disease intervention and stress buffering in healthy populations.
